Research Group on Partial Differential Equations
The group studies partial differential equations motivated by combustion, fluid mechanics, and reaction-diffusion processes. Its main lines are nonlinear elliptic equations with nonstandard growth, homogenization, nonlocal reaction-diffusion equations, and applications of PDE to game theory.
About us
The group brings together researchers from the Instituto de Cálculo (IC-CONICET), the Instituto de Investigaciones Matemáticas "Luis A. Santaló" (IMAS-CONICET), and the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (DM-FCEN-UBA). Its members are the researchers Andrea Ceretani, Julián Fernández Bonder, Claudia Lederman, Juan Pablo Pinasco, Nicolás Saintier, and Noemí Wolanski, the postdoctoral researcher Juan Ignacio Ceresa Dussel, and the PhD student Laura Cuneo. This mix of career stages fosters the training of young researchers.
The group also maintains collaborations with researchers from the Universidad Nacional de San Luis (Analía Silva and Juan Francisco Spedaletti), the Universidad de la República, Uruguay (Leandro Del Pezzo), the Universidad San Pablo CEU, Madrid (Ariel Salort), and the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and CONICET (Pablo Ochoa).
